CHARLESTON - Kanawha Manufacturing recently settled two lawsuits brought against it by two vendors that claimed the company did not pay its bills.
Rolled Alloys of Temperance, Mich., and Valley National Gases, Inc., each agreed to the settlements after the two companies filed lawsuits against Kanawha Manufacturing within a week of each other in April in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Kanawha Manufacturing President Bruce Davis said he could not release the official monetary amounts, though he said the companies were already paid in full and continue to do business with Kanawha Manufacturing.
Kanawha Manufacturing has been a family-owned company serving the power, coal and metals industry since 1902.
The complaint filed by Rolled Alloys said the company owed it more than $1.4 million, while Valley National Gases said it was owed more than $171,000.
