Stacy Lynn vs. Eric Neely and the Martinsburg City Police Department

* Lynn claims she was shopping in Wal-Mart in Martinsburg when Neely, a Martinsburg police officer, approached her and demanded her identification. When she questioned why he wanted her identification, the complaint says Neely started screaming at Lynn and then twisted her arm and forced her to the floor. In doing so, Neely broke her arm in several places. Lynn claims she was unlawfully arrested and Neely used excessive force. She is seeking an amount of relief to be determined at trial.

* The plaintiff claims Hunter owes $25,593.82 after defaulting on an auto loan. The plaintiff is seeking that amount, as well as possession of the collateral, a 2002 Ford Escape, and other relief.

* Parkinson claims Pawlik's negligence caused a March 29, 2005, vehicle accident which caused her severe and permanent injuries, pain and suffering. She is seeking $200,000 in compensatory damages and $100,000 in punitive damages, plus other relief.

Keith M. Short and Marianne R. Short vs. Anastasio C. Loizos

* The plaintiffs claim Loizos was negligent and reckless when he was driving a motorcycle with Keith Short as a passenger. The suit claims Loizos was driving more than 70 miles per hour, lost control and crashed into a tree on Oct. 7, 2004, causing severe and permanent injuries to Short's neck, pelvis, back, shoulder, arm and hand. The plaintiffs each seek $750,000 in compensatory damages and $250,000 in punitive damages, plus other relief.
