HUNTINGTON - During the third day of its trial, the civil lawsuit between a Huntington hardware store was settled for $1.2 million.
The case, filed in Cabell Circuit Court, was settled Nov. 15.
C.M. Love Hardware will be ordered to pay the settlement to Valerie Vickers, who says she was involved in an automobile accident with one of the store's trucks.
Her attorney, Matthew Vital, reportedly said the accident forced her to undergo four surgeries, including two hip replacements.
Stuart MacMillan, attorney for C.M. Love, reportedly said the company's insurance policy is expected to pay. C.M. Love was founded in 1910.
The case was before Judge John Cummings. Charleston firm Bowles, Rice, McDavid, Graff and Lowe represented C.M. Love.
