* Deborah Weaver claims that Lewis, working within the scope of his employment with Ervin's Towing, caused his tow truck to collide violently with her vehicle, causing severe and permanent injury to her and her children. She is seeking compensatory damages for medical expenses and lost earning capacity, general damages for physical and emotional suffering, as well as interest, costs and attorneys fees.

* Marlena and Jose Barahona claim the doctors, nurses and staff of WVU hospitals acted negligently in the treatment of their infant son Lucas, resulting in his death. While attempting to operate on Lucas's inguinal hernia, the hospital staff administered both general endotrachael anesthesia and a caudal epidural. When the epidural was administered, Lucas's heart rate and blood pressure declined. He suffered brain damage, and eventually died, approximately one month later. The Barahonas claim that the staff should have taken into consideration Lucas's status as a premature infant who had certain medical problems, and they are holding WVU hospitals responsible for this incident. They are seeking compensation for all losses, physical and emotion, as well as costs interest and attorneys fees.

Rosalie Shaffer v. The TJX Companies, Inc.

*Shaffer claims that while on the property of TJ Maxx, she sat on a chair that had been placed on a display dais, approximately 4-6 inches off the ground. She claims that at least one of the legs of the chair was not positioned properly on the dais, thereby causing her to fall and sustain severe injuries. There were no signs warning patrons away from the chairs on the dais, and Shaffer claims the TJ Maxx is at fault for her injuries. She is seeking adequate compensation for her injuries, as well as interest, costs and attorneys fees.
