* While shopping in Riesbeck's, Prager tripped over an object and fell. She discovered the object was a movable cart which was partly uncovered. Prager suffered injuries to the tendons in her rotator cuff and arm, and incurred medical expenses totaling $39,657.75. Prager seeks $250,000 as well as interest and costs.

Kepner Funeral Homes, Inc. vs. Ronald J. Kuskey Jr.

* Kuskey and Kepner had a contractual agreement for funeral services for Kuskey's father. Kuskey represented that he had sufficient funds to pay for the $5,130.81 in connection with the funeral. Kuskey has failed to produce any type of payment and Kepner seeks the unpaid amount, pre- and post- judgment interest and attorney fees.

James Harris III and Linda Harris vs. General Motors Company Inc, McKitrick-Harms Pontiac GMC, et al.

* McKitrick-Harms sold Harris a 2005 Pontiac Montana. Since the July 2005 sale, the car required numerous services and repairs, causing Harris inability to use, trade or resell the car. Harris claims the multitude of repairs are a breach of warranty and seeks judgment for costs of purchase, taxes, monthly payments, insurance and title fees, annoyance, and inconvenience along with attorney fees and pre- and post-judgment interest.

Guardian Elder Care at Wheeling, Peterson Rehabilitation Center vs. Irene Pandelos and Ernest Pandelos, individually and as Irene Pandelos's attorney

* Irene Pandelos was admitted to PRC and thereby entered into an Admissions Agreement for health care and services. It was agreed that invoices not paid within 30 days would incur a charge of 1.25 percent a month, with an annual rate of 15 percent. Pandelos has made neither a payment nor arrangement for a payment which totals $24,447.95. PRC seeks compensatory damages in the unpaid amount and attorney fees.

Maxine A. Szymialis vs. Suzanne Mary Szymialis, Carmella Szymialis, and First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union

* Maxine Szymialis deposited money in a money market account in her name and the name of Suzanne Szymialis. Suzanne proceeded to remove money from the account multiple times without Maxine's consent. Upon the death of their father, Carmella Szymialis was appointed Administratrix of his estate. Suzanne Szymialis withdrew all money without Maxine's consent and received a cashier's check payable to Suzanne and Carmella Szymialis. They then deposited the money into an account at First Choice, fraudulently claiming the funds were to be used as part of their father's assets. Maxine seeks at least $66,653.52, and attorney fees jointly and severally.

* Joseph was walking on North Fork Landfill's property when he was stuck by a dirty needle. Joseph claims North Fork failed to properly maintain, inspect, repair and clean its property. He seeks compensatory damages, pre- and post-judgment interest and punitive damages.

Roy J. Surratt vs. RXI Plastics, Inc., Silgan Plastics Co., and Joseph G. Kibert

* Surratt was an employee of Silgan Plastics from 1992 until his discharge in 2004. Surratt had notified Kibert, his manager, that another supervisor was using inappropriate, offensive and threatening language with him. Also, Surratt had registered complaints about his workplace condition. Additionally, Surratt had taken time off prior to his termination. Surratt believes he is the victim of retaliatory discharge and perceived disability discrimination and retaliatory discharge. He seeks compensatory damages for economic losses, humiliation, embarrassment, degradation, punitive damages, attorney fees and costs and pre-judgment interest.
