Man sues golf range after being attacked

CHARLESTON -- A man who was assaulted while hitting golf balls blames the golf range.

Andrew White filed a suit against Southridge Golf Range, Fairlawn Fairways and Andrew Call after "patrons and staff of Southridge Golf Range physically assaulted him."

The suit claims White was assaulted partially because of serving alcohol to underage customers and failing to keep the premises safe for customers.

White sustained teeth damage, facial injuries and other various injuries in the assault.

"As a direct and proximate result of the defendant's negligence, the plaintiff is permanently injured," the suit states.

White is requesting an adequate amount to compensate him for his injuries and damages plus interests allowed by law and the costs of bringing action. The suit was filed by Michael L. Glasser.

The case has been assigned to Judge Jennifer Bailey Walker
