* Jackson, an AEP employee from 1985 until May 2002, claims she was discriminatorily fired by Stephens, her supervisor. The suit claims Jackson fulfilled her job duties in the most satisfactory manner but was fired and replaced by a male who was younger in age, had less superiority and less experience. Jackson is suing for gender discrimination and is seeking punitive and compensatory damages.

* Mr. and Mrs. Owens purchased a home through Rick Simpson, a real estate salesman for Coldwell Banker. After they purchased the home, the couple noticed several defects including fire damage, termite damage and water damage. Mr. and Mrs. Owens are suing Coldwell Banker and Sheppe, the previous owner of the home, for not disclosing the defects prior to their purchase of the home. They are also suing Saddler, the owner of the property adjacent to their home, for what they claim is damage to their home due to improper water drainage.

* Stevens is suing the Huntington Burger King after he slipped and fell in the men's restroom, causing serious injuries to his shoulder, the suit claims. Stevens alleges the incident has caused him severe physical pain and mental anguish. He is seeking damages in excess of $12,000 to compensate him for his medical bills and other expenses.
