N.Y. man sues doctor at Martinsburg VA Hospital

MARTINSBURG - A New York doctor has filed a suit against a former co-worker at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Martinsburg.

Harold Warren filed a suit against fellow physician Peter Markovic, claiming Markovic provided false and misleading information several times to Warren's potential employers.

The two doctors were colleagues in the radiology department of the VA Hospital. The suit claims that during the time they worked together, "Markovic developed a strong personal dislike" of Warren.

The suit states that as a result of Markovic's actions, which constitute tortuous interference under West Virginia law, Warren lost employment opportunities and suffered loss of income and mental anguish.

Warren is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as coverage of court costs.

Warren is being represented by Jacques R. Williams of Hamstead, Williams and Shook. The case has been assigned to Judge Christopher Wilkes.
