CHARLESTON -- Steptoe & Johnson received an Addy Award from the American Advertising Association's West Virginia division for the firm's development of its Partner Smart ad series.
Launched in November 2006, the series focuses on the ways people partner to achieve more than they could working alone. Two climbers work together to reach the pinnacle of a mountain in one ad and a young boy hoists a friend over a wall in another. The common thread running through the ads is the Partner Smart concept, which illustrates the firm's dedication to partnering with clients to achieve their goals.
"We are excited that the Partner Smart campaign received this recognition," said Betsy Spellman, director of client services. "In developing this new series, we worked with our clients to find out what they valued when working with Steptoe & Johnson attorneys. Partner Smart is a concept that reflects Steptoe & Johnson's reputation as a firm deeply committed to its clients and their goals."
The award, according to a Steptoe & Johnson press release, reflects creative excellence in all forms of advertising in media of all types. The Partner Smart campaign will be entered into The American Advertising Federation's district awards ceremony next month in Columbus, Ohio.
The Arnold Agency, a Charleston-based, full-service communications company, produced the advertising series for the firm. The Partner Smart advertising series will run throughout the year.
