MARTINSBURG - A home building company that has been hit iwth more than 30 lawsuits in the past seven months again is being sued.
Quarles Petroleum filed a suit March 16 in Berkeley Circuit Court, naming American Homes by United Builders as the defendant.
Between September 2006 and March 2007, American Homes and owner John E. Petry have been sued for millions of dollars.
Quarles entered into a credit agreement for furnished fuel with American Homes in November 2005. The suit says Petry defaulted in payment and is now indebted for more than $40,000.
In addition to the fuel, Quarles seeks for American Homes to pay attorney fees in the amount of $13,536.
Quarles Petroleum, through attorney Nelson Michael, seeks judgment in the amount of $54,147.24.
The case has been assigned to Judge David Sanders.
