* Sarah Marie Lucas filed a case against Smith, a student at a former rival high school, and the county board, seeking $500,000 in compensation. Lucas claims Smith attacked her, and the attack caused serious injuries, including brain injuries. The board filed an answer to her complain, claiming Lucas actually attacked Smith, and her injury was her own fault, therefore the board should not have to pay compensation.
