Woman sues Mimi's after falling at Dunbar location

CHARLESTON - A Kanawha County woman has filed a suit against a local restaurant/video lottery parlor after she was injured while at the establishment.

Carolyn Kessler filed a suit April 20 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Mimi's, which is owned by Vandalia Partners.

Kessler claims that on April 23, she was at the Mimi's location in Dunbar and fell. The suit says the fall was due to unsafe conditions at the restaurant. Kessler injured her right knee and right hip.

According to the lawsuit, Kessler requires medical treatment and has incurred expenses. She demands judgment to fully compensate her for her injuries.

The case has been assigned to Judge Louis Bloom. Attorney Edward P. Tiffey is representing Kessler.
