* The plaintiffs claim that Manford, an attorney, failed to properly investigate and represent Reed's case when he was charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. Reed claims he was not guilty and his right to posess a firearm had been restored. He claims Manford was negligent and caused Reed's conviction and sentence to 10 months in jail. Reed and his wife are seeking more than $300,000 in relief.
