Ronald C. Bush and Phoebe Bush v. ACF Industries LLC
PA-Larry O. Ford; J-John L. Cummings
* Bush worked as a press operator at the railroad car manufacturing company. In December 2005, Bush was told to change the die within the machine. When he did so, the press allegedly cycled and caught his right hand, causing a crushing, amputation type injury. The suit alleges that ACF is liable because supervisory personnel refused to cut off power to the machine while Bush worked on it because it would've required an electrician to restore power once he was finished. Bush is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
