Monongalia man sues another after being shot while hunting

MORGANTOWN - A Monongalia County man has filed a suit against another resident after he was shot while huntington.

Robert Thompson Jr. filed a suit April 26 in Monongalia Circuit Court against Curtis Davis. Thompson claims Davis shot his while the two were hunting in the same area.

The suit says on April 28, 2005, Thompson was hunting near Indian Creek Road in Monongalia County, as was Davis. According to the suit, Davis negligently fired his gun and it hit Thompson.

Thompson has medical bills of more than $3,800 and, according to the suit, will continue to pay bills totaling more than $3,710.

Thompson, through his attorney, Sean J. Sawyer, seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as court costs and any other relief the court deems necessary.
