CHARLESTON - A Kanawha County woman has filed a suit against a local restaurant, claiming she was injured when she stepped in a hole in the restaurant's parking lot.
Joycelyn Mills filed a suit May 24 in Kanawha Circuit Court, against Sam Skaff Venture, doing business as Penn Station East Coast Subs.
Mills claims she stepped in a hole in the parking lot of MacCorkle Avenue location on June 1, 2005. As a result, she claims she fell, sustaining an injury to her face.
Mills claims the area was not properly paved and maintained, which is the defendant's responsibility.
Mills seeks compensatory, punitive and other damages.
The suit also names John Doe and John Doe, Inc. as defendants.
Mills is being represented by Paul M. Stroebel, and the case has been assigned to Judge Charlie King.
