Beverly Goldfarb, administratix of the estate of Marie Ann Gill v. Glenmark LLC, doing business as Valley Center

* Beverly Goldfarb filed a suit on behalf of the estate of Marie Ann Gill after Gill died while a resident at Valley Center Care Facility. Gill, who suffered from dementia, walked out the door and fell over an embankment. As a result, she has several injuries including a brain hemorrhage, fractured hip and fractured wrist. She died eighteen days later, as a result of her injuries. Goldfarb seeks compensatory and punitive damages.

* Gregory and Betty Jo Payne filed a suit on behalf of their disabled son, who died after he was fed a hot dog. Craig Allen Payne, 22, had cerebral palsy and could not eat solid foods. However, a staff member of DEAF fed him a cut-up hot dog during an event at a local bowling alley. His parents seek punitive damages for the estate of their son.
