Woman sues after falling at Wendy's

CHARLES TOWN - A Jefferson County woman has filed a suit against a national fast food restaurant after she fell in a Charles Town location.

Carol C. Odell filed a suit Aug. 28 in Jefferson Circuit Court, against Wendy's International.

According to the suit, Odell went to Wendy's on E. Washington Street in Charles Town on April 5, 2007. While there, she fell on a raised strip that separated the tile and carpet area on the floor.

"The raised strip in said area was in the nature of a hidden danger, trap, snare, pitfall or the like," the suit said.

The fall caused Odell to be injured physically and mentally.

Odell seeks compensation for her injuries, interest for loss to the date of the trial, and court costs.

Attorney Terrance L. Britt is representing Odell.
