CHARLESTON - A Kanawha County man has filed a suit against an employee of a local television station who allegedly hit him after failing to stop at a red light.
Jonathan Cleek of St. Albans filed a suit Oct. 12 in Kanawha Circuit Court, against Charles D. MacQueen and Gray Television, which does business as WSAZ.
According to the suit, on Dec. 31, 2005, MacQueen was driving a company vehicle west on Quarrier Street while Cleek was driving north on Summers Street. Cleek claims MacQueen failed to stop at a red light and struck him on the right front bumper.
Cleek claims he suffered injuries because of the collision.
According to the suit, MacQueen owed a duty to Cleek to keep a proper lookout and maintain proper control of his vehicle.
Cleek claims he suffered past and future medical expenses, lost wages, severe physical pain and anguish, loss of capacity to enjoy life and permanent physical disabilities.
He seeks actual and compensatory damages.
Attorney Paul M. Stroebel is representing Cleek. The case has been assigned to Judge Jennifer Bailey Walker.
