Monroe Co. man wants $5,000 after gravy spilled on his wrist

MARTINSBURG - A Monroe County man has filed a suit against Bob Evans, seeking $5,000 after he has gravy spilled on his wrist.

Clarence Naugle of Great Cacapon filed a suit Sept. 14 in Berkeley Circuit Court.

According to the suit, Naugle went to Bob Evans in Martinsburg on Sept. 16, 2005. While there, sausage gravy was spilled on his left wrist, the suit says.

Naugle claims he incurred medical expenses of more than $800. He claims the restaurant's misconduct supports an award of punitive damages.

Therefore, Naugle seeks $5,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.

Attorney Lawrence M. Schultz is representing Naugle.

The case has been assigned to Judge Gray Silver.
