Lincoln woman sues CVS after fall at Huntington store

HUNTINGTON - A Lincoln County woman filed a suit against a national pharmacy chain after she fell in the local location's parking lot.

Margaret Mason filed a suit Oct. 17 in Cabell Circuit Court against CVS Pharmacy Inc. after she fell Oct. 18, 2005, in the parking lot of the CVS located at 800 20th Street in Huntington.

According to the suit, Mason stepped in a hole in the parking lot and fell. She sustained fractures to both of her legs and ankles, as well as shock to her nervous system and other injuries.

Mason claims she had to be hospitalized and incurred expenses of approximately $57,000.

In the three-count suit, Mason seeks compensatory and punitive damages.

Attorney C. Joseph Stevens in representing Mason. The case has been assigned to Judge John Cummings.
