Woman sues after tripping in Wendy's parking lot

HUNTINGTON - A Monongalia County woman has filed a suit against a national fast food restaurant after she tripped in the parking lot.

Linda McMaster filed a suit Nov. 2 in Cabell Circuit Court against Wendy's International Inc.

McMaster was in the parking lot of the Wendy's located at 623 3rd Ave. in Huntington, on Nov. 4, 2005. She claims the lighting was poor and there was an unpainted car-stop near her vehicle.

According to the suit, the combination of a poorly lit parking lot and the unpainted car stop caused McMaster to slip, fall and be injured.

McMaster claims Wendy's is responsible for her injuries by failing to provide adequate lighting and maintain the car-stop.

McMaster seeks compensatory and punitive damages.

Attorney Edmund J. Rollo is representing McMaster. The case has been assigned to Judge David Pancake.
