Wayne Crim v. Frank Jezioro, director, West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, Jeffrey T. Craig, conservations officer with the DNR, Douglas Benson, conservation officer with the DNR, and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources

* Wayne Crim, of Upshur County, filed a suit against the Division of Natural Resources and two agents, claiming they entered his garage and took his property without permission. Crim claims Douglas Benson and Jeffrey T. Craig went into his Buckhannon garage and took several preserved animals skins and heads. Crim claims the acts of the men were fraudulent, malicious and otherwise oppressive. He seeks compensatory and punitive damages.

Richard T. Helton v. Chad Harrison, Barry Hughes and Sandra Hughes

* Richard Helton filed a suit against Chad Harrison, who wrecked into him at a red light. Helton claims he stopped at a red light when Harrison, who was following him, failed to stop. However, after the impact Harrison continued to drive. A passerby stopped Harrison, who said he was not fleeing but was in a hurry to get to the methadone clinic. According to the suit, Harrison was under the influence of drugs and prescription medications at the time of the accident. Helton seeks compensatory damages.

Wyatt Robinson Jr. and Rebecca Robinson v Aracoma Coal Company, Inc., et al

* Wyatt Robinson Jr. filed a suit against Aracoma Coal and Massey Coal, claiming the companies are responsible for a fire in the mine, which caused him to suffer several injuries. Robinson claims management at the mine did not properly perform their job, which included making sure dust was off the conveyor belts. Due to the fire, Robinson suffered a caused lung tissue injury and destruction, upper and lower respiratory tract injury, pulmonary irritation causing difficulty in breathing, thermal damage and the increased risk of asthma. He seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
