MORGANTOWN - A Monongalia County man has filed a suit against Swanson Industries, after he was injured while on the job.
Mark Stemple filed the suit Jan. 4 in Monongalia Circuit Court, claiming Swanson is responsible for his injuries.
According to the suit, on Aug. 15, 2006, Stemple was working for Swanson at its Monongalia County plant. He was using a crane to move tubing, when the crane suddenly shifted, causing Stemple to be pulled violently.
Stemple suffered severe and permanent injuries.
In the four-count suit, Stemple seeks compensatory and punitive damages for pain and suffering, mental anguish, permanent injury, scarring, disfigurement, inconvenience, loss of society, service and companionship.
