Amy Ratliff v. GMRI, Inc. dba The Olive Garden Restaurant, and William Housley

* Ratliff was a server at the Olive Garden and worked under Housley. She claims Housley made repeated, unwanted sexual advances toward her and groped, fondled and harassed her as well. The suit claims GMRI, the parent company of the Olive Garden, did not perform a sufficient investigation into the Housley's actions until Ratliff filed suit. She is suing under the West Virginia Human Rights Act. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Lowell Long v. Deborah Lisa Somuano

* Long and Somuano live on the same street and in August 2007, Long was allegedly attacked by Somauano's dog. According to the suit, the dog bit the plaintiff, injuring his arms, legs and back. Long claims Somuano should have kept her dog on a leash and is now responsible for his medical expenses and his loss of the capacity to enjoy life. He is seeking compensatory damages.
