CHARLESTON - A Putnam County man has filed a suit against his employer after he was injured when he fell off a catwalk on the job.
Kevin Wiggins filed the suit Dec. 26 in Kanawha Circuit Court against All Crane and Equipment Rental Corporation and his supervisor, Chad Shamblin.
All Crane is a company that leases cranes, tractors and crane operators.
According to the suit, Wiggins was working at the St. Albans facility on Sept. 20, 2006, under the supervision of Shamblin. The suit says Wiggins suffered a "catastrophic fall as a result of a broken catwalk and inoperable lights."
Wiggins sustained severe and grievous bodily injuries as a result of the fall.
According to the suit, Wiggins suffered permanent injuries, loss of wages, loss of capacity to earn, loss of enjoyment of life, pain and suffering, mental anguish and disfigurement.
Wiggins seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
Attorney S. Brooks West II is representing Wiggins. The case has been assigned to Judge Charles King.
