CHARLESTON - A Jackson County woman has filed a suit against her daughter's landlord, after she injured her hand while opening a window at her daughter's apartment.

Penny Ratliff filed a suit March 18 in Kanawha Circuit Court against David Brasseur.

According to the suit, Ratliff was a visitor in her daughter's apartment on March 23, 2006. Her daughter, Ashley White, lived at 1101 Main Avenue, St. Albans, in a building owned by Brasseur.

Ratliff claims she received other physical and physiological damages and seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
