* Elkins was crossing Norway Avenue in Huntington with the intention of entering the consignment shop. When she reached the sidewalk in front of the store, she allegedly tripped and fell on a metallic ring that was left as litter in front of the store. According to the suit, she suffered serious injuries as a result of the fall. She is seeking compensatory damages.
