Joseph Ward v. Jeremy Adkins

* Ward was riding as a passenger with Adkins in September 2007 when, according to the suit, Ward began to exit the vehicle while stopped at a red light. Ward claims that before he could exit the vehicle, Adkins began to drive. Ward's foot was allegedly caught in the tire of the car and he was subsequently dragged under the vehicle. Ward claims Adkins refused to take him to the hospital because he had been drinking. Ward is seeking compensatory damages.

Allen B. Cook v. CSX Transportaion, Inc.
PA-Roger Smith; J-John L. Cummings
* Cook was an employee of CSX and claims that while working for the company, he sustained many cumulative trauma injuries. He also alleges he was exposed to toxic substances and excessive noises and vibrations. The suit claims his injuries were a result of negligence on the part of CSX. He is seeking damages to compensate him for his lost wages, benefits and medical expenses.

Edward Seiler v. Black Furniture Company
PA-Leslie Dillon; J-David M. Pancake
* Seiler purchased $13,300 worth of furniture in May 2007 from Black Furniture Company, a North Carolina business. He claims the salesman assured him the armchairs he purchased would fit under the dining room table he was purchasing. When the furniture was delivered, the chairs did not fit, according to the suit. Seiler is seeking to have the furniture returned and be compensated for the price of storing it for the past year.
