HUNTINGTON - A Cabell County woman has filed a suit against a local church, claiming her four-year-old son was injured when an employee of the church placed a clothes pin on his tongue.
Davia McCoy filed the suit May 6 in Cabell Circuit Court against Cross Roads United Methodist Church on behalf of her son, Jaylan Dotson.
According to the suit, Dotson sustained personal and emotional injuries when an employee of Cross Roads placed a clothes pin on his tongue.
The suit says McCoy and the church have reached a settlement of $2,500. McCoy seeks to have the settlement approved and confirmed by the Court.
Attorney Phillip Amick is representing McCoy. The case has been assigned to Judge David Pancake.
