CHARLES TOWN - A Jefferson County woman has filed a suit against a local restaurant, after she slipped while entering the building.
Jennifer Porterfield filed the suit April 17 in Jefferson Circuit Court against R.M. Staubs Enterprises Inc., doing business as Stonewalls at Tony's Pizza.
According to the suit, Porterfield was a patron at Tony's Pizza on April 23, 2006, when she slipped on liquid on stairs and fell down the entire set of steps.
Porterfield claims she was injured and had to receive medical treatment, which she allegedly still needs.
According to the suit, the steps were poorly lit and did not have tread on them. Porterfield seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
