Pa. woman sues after fall at casino

CHARLES TOWN - A Pennsylvania woman has filed a suit against a local gaming center after she was injured when she slipped inside the center.

Barbara Henry filed the suit May 8 in Jefferson Circuit Court against PNGI Charles Town Gaming LLC.

According to the suit, Henry was a patron at Charles Town Races and Slots on Nov. 5, 2007. Henry claims she was walking to the restroom when she slipped on a wet spot, which was on a marble or granite polished floor.

Henry claims she fell and hit her head on a pillar. According to the suit, Henry also sustained a right leg fracture below her knee, a left sprained wrist and contusions and abrasions. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The suit says the gaming center is responsible for Henry's injuries, by failing to clean their floors and keep the facility safe for patrons.

Henry seeks compensatory and punitive damages.

Attorney Andrew C. Skinner is representing Henry.
