* George Armes filed a suit against the City of Charleston, seeking to have his dog returned. Armes claims his dog, Cassie, was taken to Good Shepard Veterinary Hospital after she got out of the yard. While at the hospital, Cassie was spayed, without Armes' permission. Armes was then charged with animal cruelty, no dog license and having an unconfined dog. He was arrested and placed on $2,000 P.R. bond. Armes claims he has been wrongfully charged twice as a result of a flawed investigation, was cast in a false light and his dog was stolen. He seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as the return of his dog.

Haas, who has been a Mason for more than 30 years, claims he proposed various progressive reforms, which were met with some resistance. He said he was "lured" to a meeting, where he was given the Masonic death sentence. He seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
