Former Marshall CTC employee says he was sexually harassed, fired

HUNTINGTON - A former Marshall Community and Technical College employee has sued the school, claiming he was sexually harassed and fired.

Joshua D. Campbell filed a suit against MCTC May 30 in Cabell Circuit Court. Campbell, a former Putnam County resident, was employed by the school from Aug. 21, 2006, to Aug. 16, 2007.

Campbell claims he was sexually harassed June 2, 2007, by an employee of MCTC. Campbell was fired Aug. 16, 2007.

According to the suit, the school owes Campbell more than $48,000 for services he performed, including teaching and catering events at the Cooking and Culinary Institute.

Campbell seek lost wages and benefits, back pay, unpaid wages, damages for indignity, embarrassment, humiliation and emotional distress and punitive damages.

He also seeks expenses for relocating from Putnam County to Michigan.

Attorney Harold Albertson is representing Campbell.
