Jackson woman sues after slip, fall at Belle gas station

CHARLESTON - A Jackson County woman has filed a lawsuit against a local gas station after she claims she slipped and fell in the store, sustaining more than $33,500 in damages.

Mary Pauley filed the suit July 3 in Kanawha Circuit Court against One Stop Inc., PMI LLC, Petroleum Products Inc. and Ridge Line Inc.

According to the suit, Pauley went to the One Stop in Belle on July 10, 2006. While there as a customer, she says she slipped and fell, suffering injuries.

Pauley claims the defendants negligently caused great injury to her body. According to the suit, Pauley suffered great pain of body and mind and incurred expenses, which currently amount to more than $33,543.

Pauley seeks to be awarded judgment for her injuries.

Attorney Michael A. Turkaly is representing Pauley. The case has been assigned to Judge Jennifer Bailey Walker.
