Edward Loan v. Camden Park, Inc.

* Loan is a resident of South Shore, Ky., and was visiting Camden Park in June 2006. He claims he sat on a bench at the park and it gave way, causing him to fall to the ground and injure himself. The suit alleges that as a result of the fall, Loan suffered injuries to his neck, back and spine. Loan claims Camden Park failed to provide a safe bench. He is seeking compensatory damages.

John and Sherry Bailey, Brian and Evangeline Bradley, et. Al. v. The City of Huntington
PA-John Barrett and Jonathan R. Marshall; J-Darrell Pratt
* The suit is being brought by 33 plaintiffs, all of whom live along Krouts Creek in the Westmoreland section of Huntington. The suit claims the city failed to maintain the drainage system, which caused it to fail and the waters of Krouts Creek to pour over its banks. The flooding allegedly damaged or destroyed the plaintiff's homes and other properties. They are seeking injunctive relief requiring the city to repair the system and also compensatory damages for their losses.

Monica Adkins v. Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

* Adkins, a Wayne County resident, was visiting the Wal-Mart in Wayne on Oct. 6, 2007, when she allegedly fell on a clear fluid on the floor. She claims she fell and injured her head, neck, body, knee, wrist back and limbs. She is seeking compensatory damages.

The City of Huntington v. Huntington Marine Service Inc.
PA-Lora L. Maynard; J-Darrell Pratt
* The City of Huntington is moving for a 14-year-old lease with Huntington Marine Service to be terminated on the grounds that the company has failed to obtain the appropriate permits needed to place a mooring structure on the premises. The lease was granted in 1994 with the intent of placing a facility for the fleeting, mooring, anchoring and tying of water craft or barges.
