P/A Jennifer McGinley Judge N/A
Christopher and Mary Edwards v. Rick and Tara Trickett and JS Walker and Assoc.
*In November of 2007, the Edwards purchased a home in Stone Brook Estates from the Tricketts, paying $648,000 for the property. Tara Trickett was also the selling agent and employed by JS Walker and Associates. The Tricketts failed to disclose to the Edwards there was a drainage and landslide problem in the front lawn of the home, according to the complaint. They also failed to disclose that they had paid $320,000 for work previously done on the front lawn, and that the drainage and landslide problem still existed, the suit says. The Edwards claim that as the owner and selling agent, Tara Trickett had a duty to disclose this information. The Edwards are seeking judgment for legal fees and expenses; past, present and future moving expenses; improvements made to the property after closing; evaluations performed by an engineering company; lost wages for time spent dealing with the problem; punitive damages and pre- and post judgment interest.
