HUNTINGTON – Marc E. Williams, a commercial and complex business litigation defense attorney in Huntington, has been elected President of DRI-the Voice of the Defense Bar.
Williams assumed his new post at the conclusion of DRI's Annual Meeting in New Orleans this week. He has served on a number of committees within the organization and has represented DRI at the state and national levels.
"Marc has shown exemplary leadership throughout his service to DRI," said John R. Kouris, Executive Director of DRI. "With Marc as president, I have every confidence that our organization will continue to validate its brand as the voice of the defense bar."
Williams is a partner in Huddleston Bolen. He has had primary responsibility for more than 50 jury trials in both state and federal courts. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America in five categories: Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation, Legal Malpractice Law, Mass Tort Litigation, and Products Liability Litigation.
Williams is also listed by Chambers USA in Band One (highest designation) in the area of Commercial Litigation and is designated as a West Virginia Super Lawyer. He is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.

Williams is a graduate of Marshall University and the West Virginia University College of Law, where he won five awards for written and oral advocacy, as well as the Patrick Duffy Koontz Award, recognizing leadership and academic achievement at the College of Law.
From 1989 to 2006, he was an adjunct professor in the Graduate College of Marshall University where he taught two classes each year in Sports Law.
