*Kanniard was walking beside her car in the Family Dollar parking lot when, according to the suit, she stepped in a hole filled with water. This caused her to fall to the ground and suffer serious personal injuries, according to Kanniard. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Bonnie Bryan and Russell Bryan v. Dick's Sporting Goods, Inc.

* Bonnie and Russell were shopping for exercise equipment at Dick's in November 2006. Russell Bryan began using a treadmill that was in the store while Bonnie say down on a nearby weight bench. The suit alleges that the bench was not properly bolted to its support frame, thus causing Bonnie to be flipped up and thrown to the concrete floor. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for her lost wages, medical care and emotional distress.

Stephen King and Pam King v. Eagle Coatings Inc. and West Virginia Coatings Inc.

* Stephen King was an employee of Eagle Coatings and worked as a truck driver. At some point in the course of his employment, he was allegedly required to unload steel from trucks with improper equipment. King claims he was permanently injured and received deep cuts, nerve damage and reduced range of motion with his right arm. He is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
