* Verizon claims Eligado was building a home or doing significant remodeling to a home when the defendant contacted Verizon about relocating an aerial cable near the construction. Eligado was told there would be a cost to do so. On Jan. 12, 2007, Verizon learned Eligado had cut the cable. Verizon had to relocate and repair its facilities to correct the damage. Verizon seeks compensatory damages of $8,804.79, punitive damages for negligence, attorney fees, court costs and other relief.
