Herman Harvey and Audrey Harvey vs. Seth Stinehour, D.P.M.
PA-Frank M. Armada; J-Spaulding
* The Harveys says Herman went to Stinehour with complaints about his right foot in December 2006. Stinehour noticed drainage from his left great toenail and said the nail had to be removed. The Harveys say Stinehour didn't obtain informed consent and didn't sterilize the surgical field or instrument. Severe infection to the toe led to gas gangrene, and the toe had to be amputated. Herman says he suffered pain and mental anxiety. He expects that in the future, as well, plus future medical procedures including surgery and testing. He says he has incurred medical expenses of more than $55,000, and that his wife has been deprived of her husband's services. They seek compensatory damages and interests.
