MORGANTOWN -- Retired Pennsylvania Superior Court Judge Michael Joyce, convicted in November of federal mail fraud and money laundering charges, has reported to FCI Morgantown, a mininum-security federal prison.
According to The Associated Press, Joyce, 60, was convicted of exaggerating neck and back injuries related to a 2001 car wreck and collecting some $440,000 from insurance claims.
Joyce was sentenced to serve 46 months.
Federal prosecutors are also seeking the forfeiture of Joyce's home, which they allege he bought with the ill-gotten money.
