* Cremeans was visiting her mother at the Heritage Center nursing home in February 2007 when she allegedly tangled her leg in a "call light cord" and fell. She claims that as a result of the fall, she broke her hip and underwent hip replacement surgery. The complaint says Ms. Cremeans was also hospitalized for about a month. She is seeking compensatory damages.

* Morris purchased merchandise from Creative Kitchens in the amount of $22,087.19. Creative Kitchens claims Morris gave the company a check, but the bank refused to cash the check due to insufficient funds. Creative Kitchens is seeking compensatory damages in that amount.

Timothy Rosinsky v. Mark Sowards

* Rosinsky, a Huntington attorney, claims he was attacked and "maliciously pummeled" about his head and face by Sowards. He also alleges that he was rendered unconscious and had his wallet stolen. The suit claims Sowards then drove his vehicle into a car containing two newspaper carriers. He subsequently fled the scene, according to the suit. Rosinsky is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
