CHARLESTON – A South Charleston woman is suing satellite television provider DIRECTV and a company that installs the systems after she says her home was damaged during installation.
Star Connor filed a lawsuit May 27 in Kanawha Circuit Court against DIRECTV and Skylink LTD.
Connor claims she arranged to have satellite television installed in her home in September 2008.
The installation was performed by employees of Skylink, the complaint says.
Connor says the installation process caused damage to her home, including holes drilled in the roof. She estimates the damage at several thousands of dollars.
Connor is seeking damages related to the decreased value of her home, cost of repairs and legal fees.
Timothy J. LaFon is representing the plaintiff. The case is before Kanawha Circuit Judge Louis Bloom.
