* Kenneth Lee Roberts purchased a used pick-up from Freedom Used Cars on June 15, 2007. According to the suit, Carter failed to properly inspect to vehicle or negligently performed or omitted from performing necessary repairs to it prior to selling it to Roberts. As a result, on June 17, 2007, Roberts was driving on U.S. 52 when the rear passenger side wheel came off, causing the truck to veer off the roadway to the right, re-enter the highway, overturn multiple times and eject Roberts from the vehicle, causing his death, according to the suit. Roy Wayne Roberts is suing for compensatory damages, general damages and punitive damages.

Tina Mynes v. Fifth Third Bank

* Mynes worked at Fifth Third as a customer service manager for 17 months and claims she was terminated from her job due to her age, sex and disability status in violation of the West Virginia Human Rights Act. Mynes also claims that while she was on medical leave she was informed her position was being eliminated and she was not reinstated to her position of employment following her medical leave. According to the suit, she claims that younger employees were offered other positions when their positions were eliminated and that she was actually being fired because of her use of medical leave, disability, age and/or sex. She is suing for punitive damages and compensatory damages.
