HUNTINGTON -- A Putnam woman is suing Dick's Sporting Goods over injuries she got after slipping in the Barboursville store.
Jeanne Kendall filed a lawsuit July 6 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Kendall claims she was shopping at the Barboursville Dick's on July 2, 2007.
She went back to the shoe department in the rear of the store, the complaint says.
As she was making her way back to the front, she claims she slid on water or some other slippery substance and fell onto her left knee, injuring it.
The plaintiff says the store had a duty to make sure its floors were clean.
Kendall is seeking compensatory damages from the incident.
Samuel F. Hanna is representing the plaintiff. Cabell Circuit Judge David M. Pancake will hear the case.
