CHARLESTON – A man is suing a pair of Charleston dentists after he says he tripped on an unsafe set of stairs heading out of the dentists' Virginia Street office.

Sutphin claims he was at the Howards' office on March 27, 2008, for dental work.

As he was leaving, he says he tripped on the stairs leading down to the street.

He's seeking compensatory damages for his injuries.
