He continued to work with Teletech over the next five years during which time he had no disciplinary write-ups, no attendance problems and performed consistent work. In June 2009, he was fired claiming it was due to the felony conviction he disclosed at the time of his hire. Owen alleges he was fired due to his age and race. Owens is seeking punitive damages, attorney fees, compensatory damages for mental and emotional anguish, lost income and benefits.
