* On May 3 Smith, a citizen of Cabell County, was crossing within a crosswalk at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 10th Street in Huntington when Doctor struck him with her vehicle, according to the suit. Smith claims he suffered serious and permanent injuries and damages. He is suing for past present and future medical expenses, pain and suffering, emotional distress and nuisance and inconvenience.

Donald Gillenwater vs. Platinum Corral LLC dba Golden Corral of Huntington

* On Jan. 31, Gillenwater was exiting Golden Corral of Huntington when he slipped and fell on ice that was located immediately outside the exit walkway, which he claims caused him serious injury. Gillenwater claims Golden Corral of Huntington negligently and carelessly failed to maintain the pathways at the business in a safe and reasonable manner. He is suing for compensatory and general damages.

Tracy Bradley vs. Camden Park Inc.

* On Aug. 16, 2008, Bradley rode an amusement park ride at Camden Park called "The Little Dipper," which allegedly malfunctioned, throwing Bradley forward and backward and causing severe and permanent injuries, including whiplash. Bradley claims because of the carelessness and negligence of Camden Park Inc. she has suffered lost wages and will continue to incur lost wages in the future. She is suing for her costs and for all further relief to which she may appear entitled.

Melody Shupe vs. Cafaro Company Inc. dba Huntington Mall Company and Zale Delaware Inc. dba Zales Jewelers

* On Aug. 18, 2007, Shupe was walking inside Huntington Mall in an area adjacent to the Zales Jewelers storefront when she fell on an unknown substance on the floor near the entrance to Zales Jewelers. Shupe claims an employee of the store allegedly knew about the substance n the floor and took no action to warn her of its presence and took no action to clean it up. According to the suit, Shupe suffered serious injury to her left foot, left ankle, left knee and left tib-fib area and now suffers headaches and blurred vision. She is suing for compensatory and punitive damages.

Kim Roe and Bert Roe vs. Mitchell E. Nutt, M.D.

*According to the suit, Nutt operated on Kim Roe at St. Mary's Medical Center on July 16, 2007, during which he performed a hysterectomy, salpingo-oophorectomy, lysis of adhesions and anterior and posterior colporrhaphy. Roe claims as a result of Nutt's care and treatment she has experienced significant mental and physical pain and substantial physical deformity and loss of a bodily organ system, has undergone and will likely undergo future corrective surgery or surgeries and has endured impaired physical relations with her husband, Bert Roe. Kim and Bert Roe are suing for negligence and loss of consortium, punitive and compensatory damages.
