Courtney Bohnke vs. The City of Huntington

* On Aug. 1, Bohnke was the passenger in a car going westbound on 7th Avenue when Huntington Police Officer Ronnie Lusk, while operating a Huntington police car, allegedly ran the stop sign at the intersection near 11th Street and caused the cars to collide. Bohnke claims after the collision Lusk exited his vehicle and ran from the scene. Soon after, another officer stopped to investigate the accident when Lusk came back, claiming he had been chasing a suspect prior to the accident. Bohnke is suing for medical expenses, pain and suffering, nuisance and inconvenience and loss of wages.

Jennifer Vance vs. Seth Stinehour d/b/a Huntington Foot & Ankle Clinic, Great Teays Podiatry and Ashland Family Foot Care

* Vance worked for Stinehour from May until September. She claims during her employment she was paid by a personal check for her wages and the checks bounced twice. In her last pay period Stinehour did not sign the check and Vance claims he still has not signed the check. Vance also claims she has not been reimbursed for expenses involving her personal cell phone for Stinehour's business, totaling to $160.43. She is suing for her unpaid wages of $389.52, plus liquidated damages of three times the amount and reimbursement for her cell phone expenses.

Denisha N. Biggs vs. Sara Heaberlin and Travis Heaberlin
PA- R. Lee Booten II; J- Jane Hustead
* On May 23, Biggs was walking along the side of Howells Mills Road and was attempting to flag down oncoming vehicles to see a ride out of the area. A vehicle stopped and she began to talk to them when the vehicle owned by Sara Heaberlin and driven by Travis Heaberlin struck her, causing serious and permanent injuries. Biggs is suing for medical expenses, pain and suffering, emotional distress, permanent scaring, loss of wages, permanent disfigurement and nuisance and inconvenience.
